The comfort zone. We all know what is it. It is clearly something personal. Everyone has a different definition of their comfort zone. What I consider within my comfort zone might be boring or very nerve-wracking for you.
But what within us defines where our comfort zone ends?
I believe beyond our comfort zone lies our shame.
Shame of doing something we might do wrong because we’ve never done it before.
Shame because we might not deliver something perfectly.
Shame because we don’t know how to behave in certain situations.
Shame because we might fail.
Shame because we might do something stupid.
Shame because we might not know what to say.
Shame, shame, shame.
Shame doesn’t only affect us in relation to others. We can also be ashamed of ourselves.
